A Strong Heart

Hey everyone!
I miss blogging with the  fervour that I used to, once upon a time. I miss clicking the publish button twice in a day and drafting other posts. Ah well! I can’t be cranky now, since the college has started. Days are good-ish 😛 The whys, hows and whats – I shall elaborate another day. Today I have tried something new. Its a form of Japanese poetry known as “sedoka”  that follows the syllabic pattern of 5-7-7. It has two tercets and hence a total of 38 syllables. Here’s what I’ve written :

A strong heart endures
It all. An endless supply
of fortitude and purpose.

Let thy heart love and
Be loved. For it mends that, which
To one, causes grief and stress.

This poem is about having a strong heart which helps you get through bad times. It enables you to deal with stress head on. Even though the heart is a very vulnerable sensitive organ, it is strong enough to carry on boldly, if you persist. Hope you like what I’ve written 🙂
Before I sign off, I want to shout out a BIG THANKS to all my readers for spending their quality time going through my posts. You drive me on! 🙂

Mia
